FOURTH WALL'S NEWEST MEMBER BECOMES PUBLICITY MANAGER
(September, 2007) Fourth Wall Productions has officially made Cleveland native Carli Taylor Miluk a member of the Company.
It has been two years since the four members of Fourth Wall have asked someone to join them in helping strengthen the Cleveland theatre scene. Earlier this summer, Fourth Wall sat Miluk down to ask her to join them, which she readily accepted. She is also the only member of Fourth Wall Productions that did not attend Ohio University.
ABOUT CARLI TAYLOR MILUK
Carli was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Bainbridge, Ohio and Burton, Ohio. She attended college at Baldwin-Wallace "because of the great reputation for their theatre department. I wanted to be at a school where I could work closely with my professors, and where they really cared about me, and the work I was doing. I also liked the small town atmosphere that Berea offers." She graduated from Baldwin-Wallace in the year 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and Dance. She decided to stay in Cleveland, because she believes it is a "great theater community."
So, why join Fourth Wall? "Fourth Wall offers so much for young artists. All the people who work with Fourth Wall are starting out their professional theater careers, and the works that they choose are new, professional scripts. Fourth Wall is a wonderful stepping stone to professional theater. It is a company that allows you to try new things, and think outside the box to establish your craft in a non-judgmental manner. I am now happy to be apart of it."
While Miluk's first time on Fourth Wall's stage was in Babes in America by Carole Clement (November 2006), she worked behind the scenes, helping Sprosty perfect the role of 'MOTHER ROLE' in July 2006's Schism. She later rejoined Fourth Wall Productions for their Spring show of Stained Glass Ugly by Qui Nguyen (May 2007). While being only one of two characters in the play, Carli helped out phenomenally backstage- putting together props, running errands, and always being fully prepared.
After Stained Glass Ugly, Fourth Wall asked Ms. Miluk to be their Props Master for the Season Closer- Malicious Bunny by Matthew A. Sprosty. Now, being officially a member- Carli will be Fourth Wall's Publicity Manager- a role Fourth Wall felt was a necessity to fill, but never felt they found the right person- until Ms. Miluk.
Currently, Carli is working as a company member for the Fall Repertoire of Great Lakes Theater Festival. This summer she was seen playing "Bianca" in the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival's production of Taming of the Shrew. Also, last April she was on a month-long European tour, performing for Armed Forces Entertainment as the host of a puppet show with Natural Bridges Puppet Production Company. She has performed locally with such companies as Great Lakes Theater Festival, Stage Left Theater, MorrisonDance, and the Magic Mike / Cuidado Productions magic shows. Carli has also choreographed and taught theater / dance classes at Olmsted Performing Arts, Brecksville Theater on the Square, and The Arts Academy. She is also the Drama Director for Olmsted Falls High School.
